ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Iryna Maritan, a wedding photographer based in Egypt and working worldwide.
Art has always been part of my life: my father was a poet, artist, and musician, & I grew up surrounded by creativity. I studied music & has always been drawn to art, cinema & beauty in all its forms.
Born in Belarus, I hold two university degrees (in Environmental Protection Management & in Languages), but life took me in another direction.
I spent five years modeling, an experience that taught me what it feels like to be in front of the camera & gave me the chance to learn from stylists, directors & photographers.
I first picked up a camera when my son was born, & what started as a way to document his childhood has turned into over a decade of passion for photography.
Since moving to Egypt, I’ve captured countless weddings and elopements in breathtaking places (from the pyramids of Cairo & the temples of Luxor to the Red Sea resorts of Sharm El Sheikh).
As an Italian citizen, I also work across Europe, with weddings in Italy, France, and Sweden, while New York holds a special place in my heart, as my sister lives there.
What drives me is emotion and beauty. My goal is to capture timeless moments that feel natural, elegant, and true while making every couple feel at ease in front of my lens.
